We know veal raises questions — and we welcome them. Our approach is simple: raise calves gently, feed them well, and honour their part in our farming story. 

At Budgee Valley Beef, our veal calves are raised on their mother’s milk for their entire life — no bottles, no grain, and no shortcuts. They stay by their mother’s side in quiet, open paddocks, growing naturally and slowly, just as nature intended.

At around 9 to 10 months of age, they come straight off milk and are processed with the same care and respect we give all our animals. This extended milk-fed life allows them to develop beautifully pale, tender meat with delicate flavour and exceptional texture — a true reflection of the calm, low-stress environment they’ve known since day one.

We’re proud to offer whole milk-fed veal as a whole body, by the kilogram, portioned to your needs and delivered fresh from our farm. Wholesale and chef enquiries are welcome.

This is veal you can feel good about — slow-grown, pasture-raised, and entirely milk-fed. No grain. No hormones. No compromises.

What You’ll Receive

You’ll receive an entire milk-fed veal calf, approximately 150kg dressed weight, expertly butchered and meticulously cryovac packed into convenient, meal-sized portions. Priced at $16 per kg dressed, this is a cost-effective way to fill your freezer with premium-quality veal from our family farm — raised from Black Angus and Speckle Park cattle.

After placing your order, you’ll receive a link to our digital cut sheet where you can tailor your preferences — choose your cuts, steak thickness, and the portion sizes for mince and sausages. Your order will be delivered directly to your doorstep in approx 8-9 cartons by refrigerated courier, with flat rate delivery of $99.

A whole calf will provide you with a wide variety of cuts, including:

Brisket, roasts, corned beef/silverside, eye fillet, rib fillet, T-bone, rump, osso bucco, mince, sausages, diced veal, ribs.

Each animal is a little different, so weights may vary slightly — but each order is as close as possible to 150kg dressed weight, giving you a rich and generous supply of healthy milk-fed veal.

Prefer paleo-style sausages? You can now choose between our standard sausages or our pure veal paleo sausages, made with Budgee Valley grass-fed veal, salt, pepper and garlic — no fillers, no binders, no preservatives. Just leave a note with your order if you’d like to make the switch.
